Mark's Story

With a lifelong passion for all things bicycling and mechanical, Mark opened Screaming Hen to combine his two loves for the benefit of his customers. 

Mark serviced his first bike at just nine years old and since then has gained many more years than he would care to admit of experience. 

Mark's enthusiasm for bikes became apparent during the years he spent specialising in 10 mile road bike time trails, training in the area around Winnats Pass in the Peak District. This evolved to becoming a mountain bike instructor/trail leader on Dartmoor, honing his mechanical skills in tandem. 

Giving back to the community has been a huge driver during his career, almost as much as passing along his skills and knowledge to the next generation as a technical instructor and mentor. 

He holds Cycle Systems qualifications among others and prides himself on his attention to detail... bordering on obsession!
